When someone has a missing tooth (or teeth) the typical options are four-fold: (1) Doing nothing, (2) a fixed bridge, (3) implant(s), (4) a removeable partial. In this case, the patient wanted a single-tooth partial to replace her single missing tooth. This is an economical solution and can be quite satisfying for certain people.

This patient unfortunately lost three front teeth to deep cavities. A combination of an upper esthetic bridge and a lower single-tooth bonded bridge were used to recreate his smile.

Severe gum disease ultimately resulted in this patient's lower front teeth having to be removed. More than a decade elapsed between the left-hand photo and the right-hand photo -- which is when he received a lower fixed bridge to both replace his missing teeth and balance his smile.
